Only a window that is open wide
There need not be an knock at the door
For her to know she’s whom I’ve been waiting for

Bringing with her early morning sun
And more time outside before the day is done
Changing my alarm to a bird that can sing
She is so welcome here, she is Spring!

For Sheri~~~On The Other Side Of Ugly

During a stroll on an Autumn day
I saw an old,dried out leaf on the ground
The next time I passed that way
This image was what I found

I found it quite extraordinary
Such a beautiful sight to see
And that’s when I thought of Sheri
The angel whose blog so inspires me!

On the other side of ugly there’s beauty
Who shares daily inspiration as if it were her duty
Who couples beautiful images and words
And sends them into the universe to be seen and heard!

The Wonder Of It All

Sometimes my eyes grow weary
Of skies that are grey and eerie
And my ears tire somehow
Of the symphony of the passing snowplow

The dragging of snow chains on the concrete
The numbness feeling of my frozen feet
And I may be quick to complain when I can
But I would never want to miss this Winter wonderland!

A Mid Winter’s Night Dream

Keep me warm
In yet another storm
Hold me tight
Through another cold night

Huddle with me in the snow
Promise not to let me go
Burrow me oh so deep
Watch me as I fall asleep
Eat,pray,love and dream of Spring!

I’m Not Going Out In That

You can give me booties,a coat,even a hat
But I’m still not going out in that!
My daily walk becomes such a rush
Schlepping through snow that has turned to slush

Searching for that right spot for me to wee
Because there’s too much ice under my favorite tree
Don’t get me wrong, I love when we are out and about
But I’ll say it again ” I”m not going out in that”!

Full Of Bull In NYC

Who wouldn’t wanna visit this city?
So full of things big and pretty
Plenty of things to see and do
24 hrs a day there’s a train running thru

Uptown,downtown and everywhere in between
There’s something to be eaten,heard or seen
And even if your day is totally full
You just have to stop for a pose by the famous Wall Street Bull!
Eat,pray,love and enjoy NYC even in the winter!
