The Angel Of The Offspring

My beautiful,talented son
I can’t believe he’s now 21
The years went by so fast,
How I wish his childhood could last

I listen with pride
As he strums his guitar
It fills with pride
To see him
Come so far

And as I get lost
In the memories
Of when he was small
I see the image of an angel
Beside him on a wall
Eat,pray, love and thank God for our children!

  1. Nostalgic indeed.

What jumps out at me are your lines,

“The years went by so fast,
How I wish his childhood could last.”

This is something which all parents have to contend and come to terms with.
