The Day After Hurricane Sandy

Yesterday I could not think about writing or posting. The Hurricane came on so strong it literally blew me away! The winds banged on the windows and doors. The trees outside blew until some of them toppled over. It was hard to reach people by phone or online leaving you to worry even more. The skies were dark and the rain was off and on all night. And here we are in the day after with images of destruction and devastation all over. It will take time and prayers for all of who was in her path. I was so proud when President Obama acknowledged the nurses at a NY hospital who had to transfer over 200 patients due to a power failure. It’s all of the healthcare workers,NYPD,FDNY and all the other heroes that will help us heal. And so I pray that the angels watch over us all!

I am a 52 yr old single mother of 2 sons ages 20 and 22. I have a grandson that is 2 yrs old, they are the joy of my life. I live in Brooklyn,NY. I have been a nurse for over 20 years now, most of them working with the mentally ill. I have always believed in fairies and angels. I create altered art which I sell on Etsy with images of angels and fairies. I also love to write and write a monthly article for my hometown paper. I beleive that angels, fairies and nurses are all connected as they are all messengers in some way!
